To provide an opportunity for veterans to undertake activities that promote team building and develop networks, to reintegrate into their communities. IVEP is offering a unique environment that fosters resilience and opportunities to focus on group success in overcoming many of the issues experienced post separation from the military.
Our Mission
I.V.E.P will be staffed mainly by veterans, and has a goal to reduce veteran suicide rate by offering a positive once in a lifetime experience. We provide an opportunity to travel to remote locations globally, which creates an environment to open up and discuss post-deployment struggles with fellow veterans. This offers an opportunity to develop new relationships and life skills which aid in dealing with everyday struggles. The trips will reward veterans for serving their countries and will -be funded by private and corporate donations and grants.
We aim to reduce the suicide rate in veterans globally, by providing an environment free of outside influences and distractions. We will encourage and foster an open dialog where courageous conversations around mental health can take place without judgment.
Australian Simpson Desert - 10 day road trip from Townsville to the Simpson Desert. We have been granted permission to travel through Indigenous land, which is not available to the general public.
Currently we are looking into hosting similar programs in other countries These programs would be giving back to the local communities, sanctuaries while utilizing the unique skills veterans have mastered during their service.
